ANNUAL MEETING OF WAIHI ASSOCIATION SEASON TO OPEN ON MAY STH The annual meeting of the Waihi Men's Hockey Association was well attended by members and players, Mr C. Dunstan, president, in the chair. Mr Duntsan presented a report dealing with last season's operations and this and the balance sheet, which showed a small credit balance, were adopted. Various matters were discussed, including the condition of the playing area, which it was decided should be inspected with a view to levelling and other necessary improvements. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: Patron, Mr J. Moorhead; vice-patron, Mr J. Whitehead; president, Mr C. Dunstan (reelected); vice-presidents, Messrs J. Geaney, J. Bottomley, Parker, A. Ross, J. Weedon, E. A. Wilosn, S. Miller, E. Radford, W. Williams, E. McLeay, K. Lees, P. G. Brady and the Rev. G. Hall; secretary, Mr R. Taylor; assistant-secretary, Mr G. C. Watters; hon. auditor, Mr A. W. Ellis. Four teams were nominated for the coming season's senior competitions and the opening day was fixed for Saturday, May sth.
