Defending the Ranfurly Shield for the first time this season the Canterbury Rugby football representatives had a runaway victory yesterday over Ashburton, winning by 31 points to 7. Canterbury’s line was not crossed, Ashburton’s score coming from a field goal and a penalty goal. WAIRARAPA BEAT BUSH MASTERTON, this day. With the rearguard working effectively and receiving a good measure of support from the pack Wairarapa defeated the Bush representatives at Carterton yesterday by 19 points to G.
