COMING VISIT TO PACIFIC ISLANDS NO CHARGE ON PUBLIC PURSE By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, this day. Under an arrangement . with the Naval Department the entire expense of the proposed visit of the GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe to some of the Pacific Islands has been lifted from the public purse. According to a statement made by His Excellency when opening the new building of the Wellington centre of the St. John Ambulance Association last evening Lord Bledisloe proposed to appoint the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, as his deputy in his absence.
