WAIHI BIRDS FLY FROM MORRINSVILLH
WIN FOR D. MERRY’S LOFT
The Waihi Racing Pigeon Club flew its first race of the second series from Morirnaville, 25 miles airline distance, on Saturday last. The weather conditions were ideal and 50 birds competed, Mr D. Merry’s blk.c.c. Merry Peel, winning. The first nine pigeons home were: Mr D. Merry’s blk.c.c. Merry Peel, 1500 yards per minute; Mr G. Moffatt’s b.c.h. Lady
Nan, 14 09 yards; Messrs Hugh’s blk.c.c. After Six, 144 S yards; Mr T. Comes’ r.c.c. Red Terror, 1437 yards; Mr R. Farrand’s w.h. Snowflake, 1420 yards; Mr A. Moffatt’s b.b.c, Tea Tray, 14 09 yards; Mr R. Turner’s r.c.h. After Hours, 139 0 yards; Mr C. E, Hugh’s p.h. White Nose’, 1379 yards; and Mr C. Hewson’s b.c.h. May Be, 1143 yards.
