“CANNOT GO ON”

DRAMATIC EPISODES

i ne Daily Express states that two diamatic episodes preceded the issue of a bulletin disclosing that Mr MacDonald’s eyesight was still unsatisfactory.
The first occurred at a Cabinet moedng VvJicn Mr MacDonald suddenly announced: "I am sorry, I cannot go on. We must adjourn at once.”
Late on Monday night Mr MacDona.d was walking up the stairs in the rlouse of Commons when suddenly he became practically blind for a iew moments. His friends were muen disturbed, but medical assistance was forthcoming later.
The improvement in Mr Ramsay •MacDonald's eyesight has not been maintained, but specialists are allowmg him to go to Geneva by aeroplane to-morrow, provided he devotes hree hours daily to relaxation.
