9 SELF-GOVERNMENT CONFERENCE SETTLEMENT. IN SIGHT PRINCES APPROVE PROPOSALS (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 8. A general survey of the problems referred by the Indian Round Table Conference to the Federal Structure Sub-Committee was completed today. Lord Sankey, the chairman, anticipates that by Monday morning his reports, representing the maximum measure of the agreement reached by the discussions, will be in the hands of the members of the subcommittee, which will meet for a preliminary review of the report on Monday afternoon. The Maharajah of Bikanir said Lord Reading’s speech on behalf of the Liberal delegates gave great satisfaction throughout India. At least 75 per cent, of the Indian States, if not more, would come,into the federation immediately, and they would soon be followed by the others. The Princes wanted to work as willing and co-equal partners with their brothers of British India.
