WELLINGTON, this <say. ■ In reference to a statement made in the House of Representatives that opossums were being poisoned the Minister of Internal Aairs, Hon. P. de la Perrelle, states that only where they are doing- damage to orchards can they be destroyed at will. Ordinary hunters must use. a noose or trap them.
