The story is a deeply dramatic one, and is inset with situations of which it is seldom easy to foretell the outcome. “Interference” has four central characters in the plot. They are Clive Brook, Doris Kenyon, William Powell and Evelyn Brent, and each artist has a role of equal importance. Powell has the part of a carefree roue, yet his role is one that earns the sympathy of the audience before the film is half over. Miss Brent has the role of a revengeful young lady who resorts to blackmail when thwarted in the game of love. Miss Kenyon has the difficult role of the wife of two husbands —Powell and Brook. “Interference” will be the special attraction at the Academy Theatre on Monday and Tuesday next.
