The cows appeared to he of very ordinary (piallly of mixed breeds, and cost their owner less than ,1210 each three years ago. The rows were run on 5T acres of river flats, most of which was in pasture. As supplementary feed they were fed on eight acres of turnips, carrots, mangels, and ehou moultier. The land was of excellent il nail tv and the pasture was topdressed with Uiewt. of superphosphate annually.
