LURE OF THE ARCTIC
THE ALGABRSON'S EXPEDITION RETURN OF PARTY MANY OBSTACLES OVERCOME Australian and N.2. Cable. OSLO, October 22. Members of Captain Gretir Algarrson’s expedition have arrived at Tromsoe. Their steamer was’ frozen into the ice off Franz Josef Land, and only freed after a great struggle. With the propeller broken, the officers and crew managed to make a southward course with the aid of sails until she arrived off Green Harbour, Spitsbergen, whore she was taken in tow for Tromsoe. The expedition found conditions more difficult than they expected. They will renew the expedition in 1926.
