WAIHI G.M. CO. GOLD YIELD FOR OCTOBER PERIOD LOW LEVELS DEVELOPMENT For the tour-weekly period ended 28th October the Waihi G.M. Go. crushed and treated 15,177 tons for a result of 4,229 line ounces of gold and 36,272 fine ounces of silver.

The following information on low levels development work has been cabled to the London office if the company:— No. 10 level—Edward lode, south; Commencing at 1264 ft, the next 90ft of (he lode is narrow and practically barren ; at 1358 U the full width of the reef is 10ft, assaying 68s 3d per ton. Wo. 12 Level—Driving east from Cow crosscut: The next 38ft assays 7? 9d per ton. North section of Martha lode west: The next 50ft of driving assays 29s 6d per ton. Eoyal lode east of south crosscut from No. 4 shaft: The next 46ft of driving assays 13s 3d per ton. No. 13 Level—North section of Martha lode west of No. 4 shaft crosscut: The next 50ft of driving assays 13s 3d per ton. North section of Martha lode cast of No. 4 shaft crosscut; The next 34ft of driving assays 18s 6d per ton.

MANAGER’S REPORT.

The mine manager reports tor tho week ending 4th November as follows; , The Main level isi all cleared and in working order, and a start has been , made to clear and repair the drive on No. 2 lode. This level branches off from ( No. 3 level, north of the shaft and runs nearly parallel to No. 1 reef, but on tno west side of it. I inspected No. 2 reef at tho intermediate level south of the main winze. Apparently a start had been made to open up a leading stope. I understand the values taken from this lode hvero from £2 to nearly £4 pd ton the best values going south. Jhe reef is 2ft 6in where they stopped, with two clear defined walls showing. OHINEMURI MINES'.
