ACADEMY THEATRE TO-NIGHT
George Barr McUutcheon's fine story, “ Sherry," which will be shown at the Academy Theatre to night, makes an equally fine picture, and with Pat O’Malley, better known perhaps as the dare-devil reporter in Marshall Neilan’s "Go and Get It,” gives a finished and careful portrayal of Sheridan Bedpatb, the young man who sowed a rich harvest of dollars and wine, and then pioceedp, when down and out, to lift himseif back again to a respected niche in tbe community by -dint of assiduous toil. Of course his inspiration was a girl, played charmingly by Lillian Hail. There is action a-plenty in this drama, and the story is admirably presented Nc one can fail to sympathise with the young mm making an henest endeavour to rehabilitate himself, and to appreciate with relish his passage along tbe stormy road of romance and love. In addition to the above there wilt be a "Snub” Pollard comedy, entitled "The Straight Crook,” and a Topical Budget.
ATTBACTIONB AT "EVEfiTONE’B”d A Paramount special, entitle’ “Twenty - Three and a Half Hours Leave,” featuring Douglas McLean and Doris May. was screened to an appreciative audience at Everyone's last night. Tho interesting picture, together with excellent supports, will bo repeated tonight. “ Twenty - three and a Hall Hours’ Leave ” is a delightfully humorous romance of military trainirgeamp life, taken from one rf Mary Roberta Binehcarfs famius " Sergeant Gray ” stones. The chief attraction tor Monday will be found in "Over tho Line,” featuring Alice Lake, a Metro production. bo supports will include tbe final episode (15) in "The Great Gamble,” and the opening episode in the great serial, “Bride 13,” a William Fox production.
