Tlic American Federation of Labour ] ias passed, a resolution favouring tho taral exclusion of Japanese and other Oriental from America, and has instructed the executive council to prevent any modification of tho Chinese Exclusion Act aiul to work for the repeal of the •‘Gentleman’s Agreement" with Japan on the ground that Japan lias found a menu*. of 'outwitting the agreement.
