Fighting is proceeding in many parts of Petrograd, where 30,000 strikers are opposing .the military. Many have been killed and wounded on both sides. The Moscow Soviet is attempting to pacify the workers, and has ordered substantial increases in the food rations.

LONDON, March 2. Oflicial quarters in London confirm the reports of serious mutinies in Russia, and state that Russian troops arc combining with the workers to overthrow the Soviet Government and establish a demorcatic republic.
