The figures are approximate. Of 10,300 officers' widows to whom pensions were graMtdd there still remain, 9700, and 'they are marrying, at the rato of ten a, month. Pensions were given to 224,700 men's widows ; 140.000 arc still raceivkg them, and they are marrying at the rate of 2000 a month, so that, if the rate continues, all will be remarried by the end of 1927.
