An impounding notice appears in our advertising columns. The address receutly given on dairying to Waibi settlers by Messzs W. Goodfellow (N.Z. .Dairy Company) and G, Buchanan (Thames Valley Dairy Company) should give an impetus to this important industry, and also serve the purpose of convmcing farmers about Waihi of the wisdom of unity and closer association with the leading institutions concerned in butter and cheese production. One of the main objects of the visit of Messrs Gocdfellcw and Buchanan to Waihi was to take the feeliDg of shareholders in the Thames Valley Dairy Company as to the wisdom of amalgamating with the JN'.Z. Dairy Company, a question which is shortly to be determined by baliot. The fact that they included Waihi in the itinerary indicates that the gentlemen in question have an appreciation of the growing importance of this district from a dairying standpoint, and recognise the necessity for catering for our settlers.
