RUSSIA AND POLAND
WAR MUST CEASE DECISION OF THE. ALLIES. POWERS TO SETTLE DISPUTES. (United Service Telegrams.) (Received July 13, 8 am.) NEW YORK, July 11. The Now York Herald’s Spa correspondent states that Mr Liloyd-Geoxge and M. Mililerand have flatly refused’ Poland’s request to receive the numitions and supplies delivered to the Allies by Germany.
The Echo do Paris says that Mr lioyd George after consulting the representatives of Franco and Italy, is sending a Note to Moscow making the resumption of commercial (and probably poaticnl) relations dependent on an immediate armistice to Poland, stating that the Powbrs thereafter will fix a frontier in the agreement with Moscow. In the event of refusal lie will s,ond help to Poland. The Echo de Paris contends that a pre-requisite o? the policy bringing France into touch with-Moscow must be Moscow’s recognition of the Russian debt and guarantees from Russia and from Poland respecting tiheir future. The Conference has decided to place the transport arrangements at Dantzig under a joint commission of Poles and represontatvos of the free City of Dantzig. Its chairman will bo selected by and represent the League of Nations.
A high Ukrainian representative, referring to the Bolshevik operations towards Warsaw, remarked to a newspaper correspondent, “The game is up. Poland is completely beaten.”
