BLOCK TOTALLY DESTROYED. (By Telegrai>li.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, tbis flay. The Secretary of the General Post Offioe has received the following telegram from the postmaster at Cheviot : "An extensive lire occurred here at two o'clock this morning. A block of buildings comprising ai i empty dwelliughouse, the offices of Dalgety and Co., a, slh>p occupied by Weatherton, and the Town Hall were completely destroyed.
