HEN'S REMARKABLE FEAT
A black Orpington hen, owned by Mr George Mortimer, of Railway Town, Broken Hill, has accomplished the feat of- laying an egg within an egg. It was an ordinarily-sized egg enclosed in another egg of this size of that laid by Pekk ducks. . The inner egg had nothing t'o distinguish it .from Jthe everyday variety, but it acted, shell and all. as the yolk of the outer egg, which consisted of a white shell and. "white of egg" surrounding the inner egg- Oases of a like nature have beo\i recorded, but are sard to be comparatively few.
