WOOING WITH A REVOLVER
At the Melbourne City Court recently Colin Ross was fined £5 for carrying firearms, and sentenced to If days for using threatening language. The sentence was suspended. The ovidenc,e showed that Ross was keeping company With Lilian May Brown. They mot, and Ross asked her t\) marry him. She demurred, and Ross sought to Jiurry her decision by producing a loaded revolver, saying he “would have her dead or alive.” In Court Lilian Brown said the whole affair was a lovers quarrel, and she did not think Ross meant to harm her. ■Replying to the Bench, she sabd she was certainly not going Ho marry Ross now.
