AUSTRALIAN COAL STRIKE
EFFECT- ON NEW ZEALAND. NO CAUSE FOR ALARM. (By Telegram l —Press Association.) WELLUNUIuN, this day. In connection with the recent announcement that the Commonwealtn Government has decided to commando:.-, all the coal in Australia* and that regulations have been issued empowering the Government to control its sale and distribution, the Hon. Mr Myers, Minister in charge o: the Coal Trade Regulations here, states that as -far as be can judge the Dominion’s trade from Newcastle will be in no way detrimentally affected, as it is not anticipated that the output from the minors will be reduced.
