Tho main lodo in the Jubilee is said to bo well defined, and I am favourably impressed villi it, I hear thai, several parties aro anxious to work the company's small lode on tho tribute system, The top level in the Jubilee was found to be too close to the surface; consequently, (hero were scarcely any backs to stope. A winze was then sunk to test the lode underfoot; hut- il .had only got down 75 feet when work had to be stopped owing to the iiuan- . lily of water which was met- with. A low level tunnel is now being driven. Its present length is -100 feet, and I believe that another 300 feof of driving will intersect the reef. There will then bo about 300 feet of backs for sloping.
