The No. 3 O.R.Y. and Waihi Rifles tired the linnl round last Saturday afternoon for the Waihi Gold Mining Company's gold medak The weather was anytime but favourable for good shooting. At times the target could not be ■•con at the 7UU yard* for lie bad light, and thick rain. After counting up the scores it was found that Private llrown (Wailii llillcs) had won tho first medal by llircc points. Sergeant Comes (No. II 0.R.V.) wins the rfecond medal with three |n,iiits less. 'lhe following hit. the scores:—
