By Teletfuph.-PreM Mtmitm, Pahiatda, this day Speaking at a banquet last night, Mr. Sorldon referred to the abondonment of the Labour Parliament, Tho idea of the Government, he said, had boon to .bring employers and employees, and farmers and industrial unions, together to discuss and explain mutters, and act rather as a Conciliation Board, Ho deeply regretted that the Employers' Associations had refusod to moot tho Labour Unions and associations, and ho believed that by that rofussl llioy haj weakened their case, Tlicmoral effect ot that refusal would bo to givo the workers much higher opinions, and to strengthen thoir ca«e throughout the lenath and broadth of tho country. Tho Premier annonnood that tho Imperial Colonial Conference to bo held in London had been postpo'iod for a year.
