Also ran: Tuipa, North Loburn, Jolly Princess, Pete Maxwell, Aircraft, Mahoeitahi, Poanm, Narrow Neck, Sam, Commission, Reretoa, Lady Frederick, Kumata, Grab, Maid of the Lake. Won by half a length. Time, 1.15 3-5. Borough Handicap.—Prince Willonyx 1, Eathhn 2. Independence 3. Scratched; i Some Fashion, Hyrax, Te Oro,' Ohinewairua, Avanti. Won by a neck, a length between second and third. Time, 1.28. Ponui Hurdles.—Kiriwinning 1, Shell Shock 2, Pavilion 3. All started. Won by three lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 2.50. Aroythas has been thrown out of work, and he will be treated to a good spell. From present appearances, it will be late in the season before he does any more racing, and it is feared that he may possibly never race again.
