(Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 20. In connection with the statement contained, in a telegram from Wellington that the Miners’ Federation had made a demand on the mine-owners for a 25 per cent, increase in pay, Mr William Reece, chairman of the Mineowners’ Association, who arrived from Wellington this morning, stated that he had seen the secretary of the association yesterday, and no notice had been received then of the new demand.
