THORN’S TRIAL.

(Per United- Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 18. In the charge of murder against Thorn, the Crown case closed this morning, Counsel agreeing that the pills found in Eyre’s house weie merely liver pills. No evidence was called for the defence but Mr Singer, counsel for the accused, is addressing the jpry at length, stressing the point that there is no evidence of root prints or finger prints, and questioning the conclusions of the prosecution as to hoof print evidence.
