HIS MAJESTY’S. BESSIE LOVE TO-NIGHT. To-night another complete change ol programme will be screened at His Majesty’s, when Bessie Love will be seen in a stirring and appealing drama, “Carolyn of the Corners.” Bessie Love’s real age may or may not be an open secret, bu she has undoubtedly not yet reached the age when young ladies begin to skip birthdays. She will never have to descend to this feminine subterfuge if she continues to portray child roles as successfully and with such charm and innocence as she does in “Carolyn of tiro Corners.” In this pleasing little story she has given one of the best impersonations of her career. It is a triumph of natural acting. The role is a sort of “Peg o’ My Heart” conception, the little girl in this instance going, as an orphan, to the home of her undo in a little country village where she worms her way into the hearts of all who come into contact with her. Carolyn is a character that should bring much enjoyment to children, both young and old. The usual supporting programme will be shown, which includes a comic, travel picture, and the usual Gazette. Patrons are advised to call at Upton’s to reserve their seats. EXPERT CARRIERS., Messrs C. A. Thomas and Co. have taken over the business of carriers hitherto known as Thomas and Pedley, and every attention will bo given in the future as in the past to the careful carriage of all classes of goods.
