AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S. A FINE PROGRAMME. To-night William Russell will appear for the last time in the delightful comedy-drama, “New York Luck.” To-morrow a complete-change of programme will be shown, when Bessie Love will be seen in a delightful five part comedy, “Carolyn of the Corners.” The human touches are what make a picture, and “.Carolyn of the Corners” abounds in just those little scenes that give a twitch to one’s heart. There is, however, plenty of good clean comedy provided, and Bessie Love, that delightful child actress, simply romps through a role that she hasn’t to act at all, but ony to be herself in. In this picture she is admirably supported by a canine actor, Prince, who is entitled to a share of all the praise that the production deserves. He is a most talented performer, arid does all but speak his part. Bessie is a little girl who is hard to resist, and her simplicity and charm, to say nothing of her elflike loveliness, give colour" to a charming little Itory of real people that has a universal appeal. The supporting programme is particularly good, and includes a pretty travel picture, the weekly Gazette, and an enjoyable comic! The splendid selections from “The Gondoliers,” by Fuller’s Great Orchestra, add greatly to the enjoyment of the entertainment. Box plan is at Upton’s. / THE GRAND. To-night will be the last opportunity of seeing the big seven-act Paralta play, “Sahara,” starring Louise Glaum arid Mat Moore. This picture is unique for its wonderful settings and dressing. The story is laid in the Desert of Sahara and Paris. The supporting films, Pathe’s Gazette and Winter Sports in Quebec, are both excellent subjects. To-morrow the star attraction will be “The Moral Deadline,” featuring June Elvidge and Frank Mayo, also the final episode of “The Lightning Raider.” EVERYBODY’S. TWO STAR PICTURES. To-night will be the last screening of the two big Fox star pictures, “The Merry Go Round” and “The Beast.” The first picture is a very fine production and shows a travelling circus in full swing, with Peggy Hyland in the leading part. Tire second feature stars George Walsh, in “The Beast.” To-morrow the popular star, Bert Lytell, will be featured in “Faith.”
