WANGANUI MALE CHOIR. . A final reminder is given of tlie Male Choir concert in the Opera House tonight, The Choir items are varied enough to satisfy all tastes, ranging from the simple “Good Night, Pretty Stars" to the virile and exacting “King ©laf’s Christmas" end the “Oedipus at Colouos," with its orchestral accompaniment. Mrs Peter Lewis, as soprano soloist, and Mr Chas. Wodman (tenor) are ever welcome to the musical public, and the performance of the “Persian Garden” song cycle by Mrs T. Sperring, Miss A. Astbury, and Messrs Sperring and Craig is being quite looked forward to by enthusiasts, while the instrumeital trio by Misses Price and Bignell and Mir W. Shepley is a rare treat in store. Owing to the large number of reserved seats a!' seat-holders are requested to be "in attendance not later than 7.46 to enable the ushers to get everybody seated before the commencement of the programme. PARAMOUNT MUNICIPAL . PICTURES. , ANOTHER STAR PROGRAMME TO-MORROW NIGHT. The Paramount Municipal Pictures ha.ve now been well established, and the meritorious programmes presented com tinue to attract large audiences. To-'' morrow night the management is delivering the goods in a fine picture full «of novelty. It is entitled “The Third Kiss,” and is a novel story of married life. To mention the fact that dainty Vivian Martin is in the title role is sufficient to prove the excellence of the production, and it is claimed _ that the drama is sufficient in its strength to hold the spectator every foot of the way. There are some excellent supporting films, and the programme to-morrow night should prove a big magnet. Seats should he booked at once at H. I. Jones’ and Son’s. LABOUR PARTY MEETING. Members of tbc local branch of the New Zealand Labour Party are notified of the monthly meeting to be held in 46 Victoria Avenue, 'bn Thursday, 12th inst., at 8 p.m. A large gathering of members is requested, and new members are invited.
