C. GANN BEATS FAKOOEET. (Per United Press Association..') STRATFORD, August 11. The professional contest for the New Zealand bantam-weight championship was held here last night, when C. Gann (Wanganui) met B. Fakoorey (Auckland), the latter challenging for a purse of £IOO. The match lasted the full 15 rounds. Both men wore in the pink ot condition and, though many rounds were hard fought, neither was x unduly distressed. Referee Tim Tracey awarded the match v> Gann on points. Six amateur bouts were aiso held, aR providing*clean sport.
