The Rev. J. R. Nelson will speak on a topical theme. The Rev. Hugh Beggs will conduct the services at St. Paul’s tomorrow, both morning and evening. As in accordance with present arrangements, the new minister of St. Paul’s, the Rev. E. R. Harries, will be inducted on Thursday next, this will be in the ordinary course, the last opportunity of hearing the Rev. Mr Beggs. Doubtless the congregation will mark their appreciation of his efforts by large audiences at both services. The Rev. Val. Trigger, known popularly as "The Man from Melbourne,” is advertised to begin a ten-days’ mission in the Dublin Street Methodist Church to-morroW morning. Mr Trigger is a young man, and well known in football circles in and around Melbourne. The Methodist Church of New Zealand in 1917 requested the Victorian Conference to release him for mission work in this Dominion. In this he proved so eminently successful that the request has been renewed and granted each year since. Mr Trigger’s persuasive eloquence attracts large crowds of people, and he is quite unique along certain lines. He has never been to Wanganui before, and as he intends to return to Australia next year, it may be the last opportunity to hear him. But he is sure to be heard of in the future. Powers such as he is possessed of cannot escape notice.
