o LARGE APPARENT DECREASE. (By Telegraph—Special to “Herald.”) WELLINGTON, July 23. In tabling the interim return of sheep in New Zealand, the Minister of Agriculture informed the House that although they showed a decrease of 1,871,354, this was > only an interim report, and he was hopeful when the final returns were made up that this deficiency would be reduced considerably. The report shows that the decrease in the North Island is 998,302, and in the South Island 873,052.
