WAR WITH TURKEY
BRUISE FLEET BUSY. Renter. LONDON, July 1. Constantinople messages report that a powerful British squadron visited Moudania on June 2oth, landed a party °f .*u brines and arrested several Nationalist leaders, including the harbour commandant and Governor Smaile. The garrison lied on sight of the warships. A proclamation was read, stating that the punitive action was due to breaches of the armistice and offensive attitude towards British officers. TURKISH SUCCESS REPORTED, LONDON, July 1. Constantinople reports that the Sultan has received news that the Turks captured Porgama, 58 miles north of Smyrna, taking several thousand Greek prisoners No confirmation has been received, but there has been no Greek communique issued .for two days.
