“POSSUM PADDOCK”

TO-MORROW NIGHT,

Miss Kate Howard and her company visit Wanganui to-morrow and Thursday, when they present the highly successful Australian comedy drama, “Possum Paddock,” during a two-night season at the Opera House. "Possum Paddock” is described as “a laugh all around the rails.” The opening night of the piece, when first produced at the Theatre Royal in Sydney, saw a scene of great enthusiasm, the theatre, in spite of strong counterattractions, being packed to the doors. Fred Mac Donald is one of the best of a great cast, and Jack Souter and Jack Kirby are two others w r ho go a long way towards making a success of “Possum Paddock.” The play is full of Australian sentiment, replete with Australian humour, and makes a great appeal to the Australian heart, which is enough to say that New Zealand audiences also ■ cannot fail to respond to its appeal. Popular prices will be the rule during the season, and the opportunity presented should not be missed.
