SHIPPING STRIKE.
INDUSTRIES CLOSING DOWN,

Received January 30, 10.20 a.m. SYDNEY, January 30. Owing to the .shipping strike, the whole of the meat canning works have ceased operations. Flour mills in the city are threatening to close, as they- are unable to replenish supplies of wheat. A thousand ironworkers are also idle.
