MYSTERIOUS WIRELESS
ABE MARTIANS SIGNALLING?
AUSTRALIAN EXPERT OPINION.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Received January 30. 9 a.m.
MELBOURNE, ,la'miaiv 30
In roteronee to Marconi's mysterious wireless signals, Mr Balsillie, the Commonwealth wireless expert, said there was no question that the electrical disturbances recorded at high power stations something resembling signals might be due to purely natural causes, but it was equally certain that they do not emanate from any other stations on this globe, lie declined to express an opinion on the possibility of the signals originating from Mars. Mr Baldwin. Government Astronomer, said the matter was one for wireless experts. As a non-expert, however, it seemed highly unlikely to him to seek in other worlds for the cause of the electrical disturbances.
