THE DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP,

Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. SYDNEY, January 29. The weather was fine and the courts in good condition for the concluding day of the tennis tournament. After a protracted and exciting display of first-class tennis, O’Hara Wood (Victoria) and Thomas (South Australia) defeated Lowe (England) and Anderson (New South Wales) in the final for the doubles championship of Australia, 7—5, 6—l, 7—9, 3—6, 6—3. The winners last year won the world’s doubles championship at Wimbledon.
