CALEDONIAN SPORTS.

SATURDAY, 7th FEBRUARY,

All intending' competitors at the annual sports gathering to be heJd by the Wanganui Caledonian Society on Saturday, the 7th February, are reminded that nominations close on Saturday next, the 31st inst., with the secretary, Mr A. Synie, box 224. The programme of events is a very fine one, and good prizes are offered for the dancing, field events, and athletic events, all of which should fill well. The entries for tossing the caber, throwing the hammer, and putting the shot should also, be large. The gathering gives every promise of being a great success, while the national concert in the evening should be one of the best of its hind ever held hare.
