ENORMOUS INTEREST AROUSED.

The Daily Chronicle’s Berlin correspondent says tho fate of the Government hangs on the issue of the Erz-herger-HellFerich libel suit, which has been going on for a week and is attracting enormous public attention. Helfferich. the darling of the pan-Ger-maas, has long pursued Erzbergef in a pitiless vendetta. Ho accUßOs Erzberger of being a political business man representing political Corruption of the worst kind, Ho says that ho dreiv £2OOO a year from the Thyssp Company while he was in Government employment. Tho case may Last ti fortnight more. Fresh accusations tire continually being made, and drawing long denials. Government circles are very anxious.
