Alois He .'man, a fanner, while crossing the Kapuni River on Saturday afternoon to help a neighbour to bring some cows across a ford, was washed*)® hia horse and drowned. The- body was recovered yesterday about a mile from the place where the., accident occurred. Deceased, whose wife died two months ago, leaves five little children.
