PERSONAL.
On Friday afternoon, the staff of the 'Wanganui Technical College met at a social gathering at which two presentations were made. Mr M. McWilliams, B.Sc., instructor in electrical engineering, has been appointed to a similar position at the Wellington Technical College, and Mr Park, on behalf of the staff, presented him with a handsome travelling bag. Mr McWilliams, in reply, made reference to the pleasant and instructive two years he had served on the staff. Mr Metson then asked Mm Molleson, cookery instructress, to accept a presentation of books to mark the teachers’ appreciation of her great assistance at all social functions in connection with the school; all the staff hoped that Miss Mollison’s connection with the school would be a long one. Mrs E. M. Grant, an erstwhile resident of Wanganui, and who is now Jiving in New Plymouth, is on a short visit to town. Mrs Grant, who is well rnd favourably known locally as a vocalist, is to take part in the rendition of "The Messiah” to-morrow evening.
