In the final match of the tour of the Australians their first innings realised 269—Trennery 53 and Willis 94. The Western Provinces in their first innings made 32 without the loss of a wicket. SATURDAY'S GAMES. The cricket competitions were advanced another stage on Saturday, and as a result wins were notched by Victoria, College A, and College B. COLLEGE v, T.M.C.A. Thene was an exciting finish to this match, Y.M.C.A. narrowly averting a three-point defeat. As it was, College won on the first innings by 94 runs. With this leeway to, make up in the second innings, T.M.C.A. pnt on the respectable total of 208, thanks to a capital innings of 67 by C. Treadwell, who scored freely on the off. He was ably supported by R. London 41, others to score well being Blamires and Atkinson. School were left with 114 runs to get in 75 minutes. A bad start was made, the first two wickets falling for two runs, but from then on the result was never in doubt, Stowe and S. Gilmer batting briskly, and the in-side was materially assisted by the faulty fielding of Y.M.C.A., several chances being declined. When stumps were drawn School had lost six wickets for 111 runs.
