SATURDAY'S GAMES, Pine ■weather prevailed on Saturday afternoon, when the senior competition matches wore continued at Cook's Gardens. The ’games set down were Victoria v. Imlay, and Wanganui v. College B. Y.M.C.A. v. College A met on College ground. There was a good crowd of spectators present, and some fine bowling performances were witnessed. The outstanding feature of the afternoon's play was Wood's 112 for Victoria, in which he lifted two halls out of the ground and found the boundary twenty times. Berneau remained a long time at the wicket on the other pitch, and was unfortunate enough to he bowled when requiring only five runs to complete a century. Dr P. Marshall also gave an excellent display for 38, and was put out in a rather unexpected manner. He got right on to a half-volley from Day and drove the ball powerfully back low down on the left of the bowler, when Day flung out his left, hand and made a splendid catch, which merited Mid received applause from all over the field.
