NOT "FAKED" PROPAGANDA.
There is no part of New Zealand where, politics have assumed a more interesting and, shall we (Wairarapa Age) say, more odious form than in Wanganui. The sitting Labour member, (Mr W. A. Veiteh) has displeased the extremists on both sides. H« will not identify himself with Messrs Holland, Semple, and Co;, and he has intimated that on a no-confidenoe motion he would vote for the Liberals as against the Reformers. The Reformers have, - in consequence, joined with the Labourites in an attempt to unseat him. The alliance does not seem either natural or wholesome. Mr Veitoh has proved himself a most useful member of the House of Representatives. Had he so desired, he could have occupied a seat in the National Government, But he chose rather to preserve his independence and his individuality. He is a conscientious; sane Labourite, and is loyal to the backbone. It would be a thousand ! pities if, for the one object of serving the purpose of party politics, ' he should be rejected by the people of Wanganui at the coming poll,.
