ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A FATAL FALL. (Per United Press Association.) . WELLINGTON, November 21. While v.orldng /on the Kia Ora at the railway wharf this morning, a man named Thomas Whitley, employed at Cable’ foundry and living at Petonc, fell down the hold. He died on admission to the Hospital at 11.20 o’clock. GAS POISONING. AUCKLAND, November 21. Alice Mary Rothwell, married, aged 45, residing at Newmarket, was found dead in her bed by'her ■•'son, aged 10, ■with a gas tube near her mouth. She had been in ill-health. Evidence at the inquest showed that she was poisoned by coal gas, and the Coroner found a verdict to that effect.
