MR MASSEY IN TARANAKI

ANXIOUS ABOUT PATEA SEAT. (Per United Press Association.) HAWERA, November 21.. The Premier arrived in Hawera last evening. He spent the evening at a private conference of the Reform party concerning the two Reform candidates for the Patea seat. Nothing was available for publication this morning. Sir Massey also received several deputations concerning the Te Roti-Opu-na,ke line, and re expediting the building of a new railway station, a new police station, and a Technical High School. Mr Massey promised to look into the matters brought before him. Questioned by a reporter regarding the High Commissioner’s office, the Premier; said it was the intention to reorganise the office, with a view to bringing it up to date and thoroughly in touch with New Zealand. The Premier left for the South by the express.
