Commercial Attache Heller, of the self-styled Soviet Embassy, announced that he has been negotiating’ with large packers and manufacturers, the purpose being to urge the Government to recognise the Soviet Government and permit the exportations of foodstuffs and manufactures to Russia. Heller said that the Soviet is able to send two hundred million dollars of gold to the United States in order to secure credits, and added that unless the United States takes advantage of the Russian trade opportunities, Japan and Germany will secure them.
