WANGANUI CANINE SOCIETY.

ANNUAL DOG SHOW.

In conjunction with the Agricultural Association, tho Wanganui Canine Society is holding its annual dog Show, which, as usual, attracted very good entries, there being about the same number received this as last year. Spaniels, terriers, setters, bull dogs, pomcranians, and ladies’ classes proved popular, goodentries being received for those. The stewards were: Messrs J. D. Graham (chief), A. Greener, P. Gower, W. Berthold, E. Harrison, H. Caldwell, H. .tones, J. Hutchinson, J. Driver, G. Dale, and C. Prince. The judges were; Mr E. J. Williams (spaniels and gun dogs); Mr H. Muir (terriers and toys); Mr A .8. Galbraith (greyhounds); Mr R. Tilzey (bull dogs); Mr W. Berthold (collies and sheepdogs); Mr J. Graham (variety classes. Generally speaking, the entries were of a good class. A feature of the Show was the large entry of pomcranians, which was a record for the Wanganui .Show. There was also a good entry of bull dogs. In cocker spaniels, other than black, W. P. Henderson benched a nice little puppy in Moeroki Bobby, Generally speaking, the cocker classes were well up to the standard, and the same remarks could be applied to the classes benched. PRIZE LLST.
