P. AND T. BONUS.

(Per United Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, November 18.

The following resolution was passed unanimously at a meeting of the West Coast branch of the Post and Telegraph Association held to-night: “That this West Coast section of the Post and Telegraph. Association strongly protests against an attempt to deprive members of the promised war bonus. The cost of living still increasing, and the bonus is absolutely necessary as the recent salary increases do not nearly meet the needs of th© service. We also strongly protest against Cabinet’s decision to refer the question of Sir J. Ward’s promise to an independent tribunal, as the delegates to the 1918 conference all state definitely that th© promise was made verbally, and this, taken with Sir Joseph Ward’s statement, should be sufficient for any proof.”
